My Dad’s 80th birthday party had a Hollywood Theme to it. I had so much fun baking, decorating and mounting the Hollywood cake. It sits on a tall tier. In the center is a mirror ball that spun throughout the event (gave that sense of spot light).
The cake is a three tier stack, white cake, with butter cream filling and butter cream icing. Decorated all white with black trimming, black and gold tinsel and black plastic balloon balls. The cake topper (made by me also) was a movie reel with filmstrip cascading down one side of the cake. Everyone loved and commented on the special touch to a “Hollywood Themed Cake”. It had to be special as my Daddy is special and deserved to have a SUPER 80th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION.
