Coolest Baby Shower Sheep Cake

This was a baby shower cake that I made for my aunt. She didn’t know the sex of the baby yet, so I made something that could be for either a boy or girl. The bottom is a 12″round and the top one is an 8″ or 9″ round. It was a simple white cake with homemade (colored) butter cream. The stripes and polka dots were made with fondant.

The little sheep on top was just made with fondant (with a little tylose powder mixed in). I first made a big log like shape and then I attached a bunch of little balls before attaching the head. The legs were just fondant in the shape of little logs. A little edible powder color and a little luster dust for sparkle and it was perfect.

This cake was easy to make. It had very simple decorations, yet it made a great impression with the mother-to-be ( my aunt) and all of the guests at the baby shower.
